Christmas 2011!!!

Christmas is the best time of year! This year was especially great and wonderful to have Emerson in our lives,  Christmas Day we woke up and celebrated with John's family.  It was a great year and we are very thankful to our Heavenly Father who sent his son Jesus Christ to us to be our Savior.  I don't know where we would be without the many blessings he has given us.
Had to add this pic, my Dad took it for his pone and Emerson was getting tired of posing.  So he started teasing and pulling faces.  He definetly knows how to work people.

This and the next picture are of Emerson and Grady, they are the first ones to wake up Christmas morning.  Not  to open gifts, but because it was time to eat.

I don't think Sammie was very happy about being woke up

Our Stockings

Emerson got snacks, a banana for breakfast, and the movie Chicken Little. Also a new collared shirt for Church.

This was Grady's M&M candy cane but Emerson wanted to chew on it....below, Emerson gets away with the candy cane and eventyally gets it open to get at the candy inside.

Saying, Good Morning to Uncle Spencer

He had more fun standing at the gate than opening presents.

This and the one below he didn't want anything to do with me or John so he chose to sit with Uncle Karl.

Grady wanted a turn to play with Emerson's truck

All the boys playing with Grady's Cookie Monster

Whiel Grady played with Emerson's Truck, he took the opportunity to play with Grady's.  So glad that they are still young enough to share.

So the next 4 pictures are a story: Karl's family had us this year for Christmas, they gave us some sugar, wheat, and chocolate chips.  Which I am very thankful for since I was running out of wheat for my bread making.  They also let Grady pick out a gift for Emerson and Grady picked out this cute little toy dog.  Well when Emerson opened it Grady remembered it and got upset and started crying because he thought he had picked it out for him, so cute.  So then Emerson decided that he had to join in and cry too. Eventually Emerson calmed down and enjoyed playing with it.  Grady even got a chance to have a turn.

This year we just did stocking gifts for each other $20 a piece.  I got John some candy, pistachios, and Nickelback's new CD.

He got me a Snickers Almond, Pepsi, and an Itunes card.

Christmas afternoon we headed back to my parents so they could give Emerson his gifts.

He finally got the point and started to rip the paper off

Bridger and Rylee were more than happy to show Emerson how to use his new toy

Christmas Eve 2011

The Start of our Christmas Week
Since I have too many pictures from Christmas I decided to break up the first part of the week and Christmas Eve from Christmas.  We started our Christmas Week early and headed south on Tuesday.  We went to St. George to spend some time with John's Sister Amanda and her family.  We had their family this year and since they wouldn't be coming out to Panaca we spent a couple of days with them to give them their gifts, visit, do some last minute shopping, and to see some Christmas lights.
We then went to Panaca where we spent time with Anna and her Family, Karl and his family, Auntie Pete Getker, and I spent a day with my Sister Ashley and Cade to do all the baking and cooking I needed to do for our Christmas Eve dinner.

This is Nellie and Daxton opening the gifts we brought, Popcorn bowls and the movie, The Incredibles.

Spending some time with Pete

Wrestling with Talon

The kids were feeding crackers to the birds and Emerson wanted to join in but I think he just crawled around.

The toy container is just as much fun as the toys

Wish I could find and empty box this exciting

Christmas Eve
We usually spend Christmas Eve with my family we have a family dinner, then a program put on by the kids about the Birth of Christ, and last what the kids are more worried about open our Christmas Eve gift.  We draw names in November and then you get that person a special gift.  This year we had Cade, Grandma, and Baylee.  It was hard but fun to find them all something we thought they would enjoy and could use.  Grandma got the most amazing moisturizing cream from Clinique, Cade got a book on how to golf (this is the gag gift part that John likes to do.) inside was a gift card from PacSun, and Baylee got a shirt and bracelet from Aeropostale, that amazingly enough Emerson picked out.
Another big difference this year was that Mom didn't do the dinner her and my dad headed to Salt Lake to see Mannheim Steamroller and were traveling home on Christmas Eve.  So us girls handled it.  I was in charge of rolls, orange rolls, mustard ring, and pecan pie, so I took a day and headed to my Mom's where all I did was cook and left John and Emerson in Panaca to have a fun day with his family.
They took the hat off of one of Tiff's decorations and put it on his head, crazy kids

K Uncle Matt I think I'm done

Don't know what he is doing but lately he has started to close his eyes and smile when you try and take a picture of him

Had fun playing with the vents

Mom and Daughter in the Kitchen, just couldn't keep Mom from helping out.

Poor Ashley, got so tired from all the cooking and craziness. Good thing Cade was here to keep her standing up.

Daddy got Call of Duty, sure hope he gets some alone time to play it.

We have been trying to get a family picture for a while now and since we were all together we jumped at the chance.  Didn't get the best pictures, but hey we are all in it right.
